Life wouldn’t be worth living without all those yummy treats like pizzas, chocolate and ice-cream! We all have cravings for junk food, so when do we give in to temptation?

Eating a little of what you fancy when you fancy it is a recipe for obesity because who knows what moderation is with junk food?! If you open a bar of chocolate and leave it in the fridge, you WILL eat the lot, albeit one square at a time!

There are a few really important things to remember in your quest for flat abs. Being muscles like any other, they need the recovery time as I mentioned before, but also they need resistance to keep them responding! As with all exercises, it’s quality not quantity with the repetitions, so concentrate on great technique. If you can’t feel the muscles working then it’s not working! When your repetitions exceed around 25 in good form then it’s time to add a little resistance (depending on the exercise) to keep seeing improvements.

I always try and keep explanations more simple than scientific BUT with matters concerning the body, sometimes things need to be backed up with a bit of human biology… I often refer to the term ‘Starvation mode’ as the reason why most commercial diets don’t work. So if you drink enough it will flush through your body and you will look slimmer and not ‘puffy’.

Drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day is a crucial part of your weight loss routine. (I welcome the same treatment for everything I advocate too!)
